2018 Martin Luther King, Jr. Multifaith Service
On Monday, January 15th, 2018, approximately 300 people from all backgrounds gathered at Princeton's First Baptist Church for the annual Multifaith Service to Commemorate and Honor the Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. Leaders from a range of faiths participated, including Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, United Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal, Baha'i, Christian Science, Unitarian Universalist, United Church of Christ, Jewish, and Muslim.
Rally for Diplomacy, Not War, with Iran
Nearly 300 peacemakers joined together in Princeton on January 11, 2020, to stand up against President Trump's escalation of conflict with Iran, with his killing of General Soleimani. Speakers included faith leaders, government officials, and academic experts.
Lobby Day in D.C.
On Thursday, March 14, 2019, a delegation of 18 CFPA members traveled to D.C.together, to advocate for peace! Seen here posing with Sen. Bob Casey (PA). The delegation met with staff or members of 10 Congressional offices in one day!
6 New Gun Safety Bills Signed Into Law!
Leaders of CFPA's Ceasefire NJ project stand with NJ Gov. Phil Murphy at bill signing event for package of 6 new gun violence prevention laws on June 13, 2018. That year, NJ passed a total of eight new gun safety laws, more than any other state in the country.
Princeton March for Our Lives
On March 24, 2018, over 4,000 showed up for Princeton's March for Our Lives local event, demanding gun safety reform after the Parkland, Florida school shooting. The rally was co-sponsored by Coalition for Peace Action, and initiated by Princeton High School senior Dziyana Zubialevich.
Rally to Save Democracy
On September 17, 2022, CFPA joined many community partners on Hinds Plaza in Princeton for a rally to protect Democracy which gives citizens a voice on Climate Change, Voting Rights, Womens’ Rights to Healthcare, LGBTQIA+Rights & Representation, and Gun Safety.
Solidarity Vigil Against Hate & Bigotry
On December 17, 2022, CFPA sponsored a public Vigil at Tiger Park on Palmer Square in Princeton, in response to intensified major acts of violent hatred against race, color, creed, and gender identity. The Vigil was co-sponsored by Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice; Not In Our Town, Princeton; and Princeton Community Democratic Organization.
Princeton Pride Parade, 2023
CFPA joins with community partners to march in Princeton’s annual Pride Parade, held every year in June.
Annual Conference for Peace, 2023
Prof. Frank von Hippel speaks to a full house at Christ Congregation in Princeton for CFPA’s 44th Annual Conference for Peace. Other speakers included Archbishop John C. Wester, Raisa Rubin-Stankiewicz, and Medea Benjamin.
Annual Membership Program, 2024
Keynote speaker, Katrina vanden Heuvel of The Nation magazine speaks to a crowd of 85 for the June 9 Annual Membership Program at Christ Congregation, Princeton. The event also honored Dr. Stewart C. Prager, Yael Niv, and Ram Chelluri for their outstanding peace work.
Annual Holiday Peace Gathering, 2023
On December 14, 2022, CFPA held its annual holiday gathering for peace and honored Irene Etkin Goldman's 20 years as CFPA Board Chair. A dozen speakers presented, and peace music, including a Sing-A-Long, was performed by David Brahinsky at Nassau Presbyterian Church.
