I'm writing to request your 2025 annual membership contribution to urgently intensify CFPA’s organizing to address the greatly increased challenges presented by the results of last year’s Presidential and Congressional elections!
CFPA asks all members to renew, and others to join, early each year. The suggested annual membership dues remain at $80 for a household, or $50 for an individual. Receiving membership dues early each year helps with our budgeting and cash flow. So please click hereor below to renew NOW!
We face major challenges this year with sustaining the truces in the Middle East and ending the Ukraine War. Also, 2024 was the hottest year in recorded history. The Climate Emergency of devastating wildfires, floods, and hurricanes is rapidly worsening. We need your help to ramp up our No Wars, No Warming Campaign!
Thankfully, I want to point out two elements in CFPA’s 2025 plans that offer hope. Gov. Murphy recently announced that NJ hit a “record low” in gun shootings last year! He credited New Jersey’s strengthened gun violence prevention laws.
CFPA’s Ceasefire NJ Project was a key leader in passing over 20 new gun safety laws since 2018 that are effectively protecting New Jersey residents from the scourge of gun violence! But recently, we learned that major loopholes in the state’s ghost gun ban need to be fixed, and we are working hard to pass six bills to close those.
Second, we are initiating a Peace Voter (PV) campaign with proven results to influence this year’s NJ Gubernatorial elections. We did a similar campaign in 2017, and successfully exerted considerable influence in that election. New Jersey is one of only two statewide races in 2025, and will be a bellwether for the 2026 elections!
Already we are offering Candidate Briefings by CFPA experts and organizational leaders to the major party candidates! We will follow that with Candidate Questionnaires and research on their positions. Then we will culminate the PV campaign by widely distributing Peace Voter Guides.
