Rev. Vernon K. Walker preaching.
The annual Multifaith Service to Honor the Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, co-sponsored by CFPA and the Princeton Clergy Association. Diverse faith leaders from a wide range of traditions will co-lead the worship Service.
Rev. Vernon K. Walker is currently the Director of Content and External Strategy at the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation located in Princeton. Prior to that he spent many years organizing for climate and social justice causes. He was born and raised in Philadelphia.
He attended Penn State University for college where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Psychology. After graduating from Penn State University, He attended Boston University and earned a Master Degree in Theological Studies (MTS) with a focus on community engagement. He also attended Tufts University and earned a Master in Public Policy degree (MPP).
Rev. Walker is currently an Associate Minister at the Deliverance Evangelistic Church located in Philadelphia. He was ordained in 2015 and formerly served as an associate pastor at the Berachah Church located in Boston.
Rev. Walker’s social justice message has appeared in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Bay State Banner, Commonwealth Magazine, and other media. He has also made TV appearances on Fox 25, New England Cable News, Boston Neighborhood Network, CBS Boston, and NBC 10 Boston. Rev. Walker has lectured about his social justice work at universities and colleges across the United States.
