On Tuesday, December 6 the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) led a Lobby Day to Washington, D.C. that focused on preserving the Iran Nuclear Agreement, curtailing nuclear modernization, and responding to climate change. The delegation included over 20 people from PA and NJ who met with the offices of Senator Pat Toomey (PA), Senator Bob Casey (PA), Senator Cory Booker (NJ), Senator Bob Menendez (NJ), and Representative Dwight Evans (PA-2nd Dist.). Some members of the delegation also ran into Senator Bernie Sanders in the hallway!

The Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) held it's 37th Annual Multifaith Service and Conference for Peace on Sunday, November 13, attended by over 400. The theme of the Conference was "Preventing a New Nuclear Arms Race!" On Saturday, November 12 members of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) and Christ Congregation gathered to honor Executive Director Rev. Bob Moore for 35 years with CFPA and 40 years as an ordained minister. Over 80 people came and enjoyed a potluck meal, music, and testimonials to Rev. Moore's peacemaking career. In late October Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) Pennsylvania Director Ed Aguilar went to Washington D.C. on a lobby trip. He spoke to former National Security Advisor Tom Donilon (pictured above left) as well as Senator Bob Casey (above right).

CFPA and our allies are looking forward to a lobby day on December 6 where will will address issues such as preventing a new nuclear arms race, cutting trillions of dollars, and promoting swift action on the climate crisis.

The Coalition for Peace Action co-sponsored a Gathering in Solidarity with Standing Rock Water Protectors with Arrows on Sunday October 23 at United Christian Church (Levittown, PA). Approximately 150 people attended to show their support of Native Americans against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The event included a Blessing of the Four Directions and a Potluck meal. 




On October 9, Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) long-time member Judy Scheide held a House Party in honor of CFPA. This event included member testimonials, live music, and great friends!

On Saturday September 24, the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) participated in the West Windsor Humanitarian Council's 2nd Annual International Peace Day. The day included student readings, cultural dances, and professional talks. CFPA's Executive Director Rev. Bob Moore was the keynote speaker.
