Thank you to all who were able to join us for this past Saturday's rally to #SaveThePostOffice! The rally was co-sponsored by CFPA and MoveOn.
On August 22, about 50 people gathered at the Alexander Road Post Office in Princeton, as part of over 800 nationwide events that day. Participants wore masks and stood at safe distances.
Our speakers included Asm. Andrew Zwicker, who described how he is pushing legislation through the New Jersey State Legislature that includes the ability to track on a state website where your mail-in ballot is in the process, and 5-day window to fix any problems with your ballot (for example, a missing signature).
In addition, we heard from voting security expert Dr. Andrew Appel, CFPA board member Mark Pepper, and longtime CFPA ally Dr. Frank von Hippel, who led the event. CPFA’s Chair, Irene Goldman, read a statement from the Trenton branch of the NAACP.
